Why Aviva Investors?

In terms of money-market research our cash team analyses the futures market to uncover future trends in cash yields. Not only do we hope to identify trading patterns through this, but we also look to recognise key technical levels that can indicate buying or selling opportunities.

Using the framework developed by our strategy team, the cash and gilt teams are responsible for preparing forecasts for their respective markets, which are then tested against a range of alternative market scenarios (e.g. possible changes in interest rates or government policy).

The next step in the investment process is asset allocation – the cash and gilt teams continually monitor the one-year outlook for certificates of deposit and yield forecasts for 2-10 year gilts in deciding how much of the fund should be allocated away from cash to gilts.
