The MAF team consists of:
Yoram Lustig, CFA Head of Multi-Asset Funds
Yoram joined Aviva Investors in 2009. Prior to joining Aviva Investors, Yoram was Head of Portfolio Construction EMEA at Merrill Lynch, responsible for managing multi-asset discretionary portfolios; selecting investments and funds; setting investment strategy; managing portfolio risk; and producing performance analytics. Before joining Merrill Lynch in 2002, he practiced law for three years, specialising in corporate, financial and commercial law. Yoram was awarded the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) designation in 2007; the Professional Risk Manager (PRM) certification in 2005; the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2004; an MBA from London Business School in 2002; and a law degree from Tel Aviv University in 1997. He is admitted to both the Israel and New York State Bars. He had studied Electrical Engineering for two years in the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology prior to his military service.
Justin Onuekwusi, CFA Fund Manager
Justin joined Aviva investors in 2010. Prior to joining Aviva Investors, Justin was a fund research analyst at Merrill Lynch where he was responsible for the research of funds that invest in traditional and non-benchmark assets. “Non-benchmark” encompasses a wide range of asset classes including real estate, currency, commodities, sector and ethical/environmental funds. Before joining Merrill Lynch, he worked as an Investment Consultant for Aon Consulting, focusing on manager research and selection, asset allocation, performance analytics and the transitioning of assets for Aon’s U.K. corporate pension fund clients. Justin is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute. He also holds a degree in Economics from the University of Warwick and the Investment Management Certificate. He is the fund manager on both our manager of manager funds, as well as our retail multi-asset funds. Working with the multi-manager team, he has primary responsibility for the manager research and selection, within the MAF funds and for developing bespoke new client solutions.
Nick Samouilhan, PhD, FRM Fund Manager
Nick joined Aviva Investors in 2010, having previously worked on the multi-asset desk at Investec Asset Management, where he focused on asset allocation models and manager research. Before that he was an academic at the University of Cape Town, where he taught economics and published journal articles on economic forecasting, risk modelling and portfolio diversification, amongst others. Nick holds a PhD in financial economics and the Investment Management Certificate. He is also an FRM charterholder and a member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). On the MAF desk he is the fund manager of the Aviva Ireland unit Linked funds and works with Aviva Investors Strategy Team on asset allocation.
