Sustainability in global real estate
Sustainability plays an integral role in all of Aviva Investors' decision making. We realise the tremendous impact the built environment has on the world and strive to help reduce it.
Within Aviva Investors we have established a Real Estate Sustainability Group to ensure that the environmental, social and economical issues are all thoroughly and actively explored. The group includes one member from each area of the Real Estate team so that information is shared and dispersed company-wide.
We take an active involvement in promoting sustainability issues throughout the real estate industry through our three Chartered Environmentalists and our British Council of Shopping Centres advisory board member.
In addition, we are members of various groups, such as the UK Green Building Council, and utilise professional advisors, such as Forum For the Future, so that we are always informed of the newest and best practices of this continuously evolving area of the real estate industry.
