Shamik Dhar to expand research coverage to Asia-Pacific region

 
(London): Aviva Investors announced today that it has appointed Shamik Dhar as Senior Economist in the Investment Strategy team.

Shamik joins from Fathom Financial Consulting, which he co-founded in 2004, and where he was responsible for formulating the strategic direction of the company and for macroeconomic and financial market analysis and research. He has also held management and economist roles at the Bank of England and Oxford Economic Forecasting and previously worked at Aviva Investors as Chief UK / European Economist from 2000 to 2004.*

Shamik, who started his new role in April, is based at Aviva Investors London office and reports to Adrian Jarvis, Head of Strategy. He is responsible for driving economic research and forecasting for the Asia-Pacific region, and will also help the team to conduct research-specific trade opportunities based on economic analysis.
