Invest & give

Launch of Invest and Give

Aviva Investors is a founding partner of this unique investment opportunity that supports The Prince’s Trust.

What is Invest & Give?
Invest & Give is a new and unique multi-manager investment fund opportunity which lets you give to charity without even noticing.

The first of its kind, Invest & Give is a partnership between twelve of the UK’s leading fund management companies, including Aviva Investors, and The Prince’s Trust, to create the opportunity for people to both Invest (for themselves) & Give (to others).

This exciting multi-manager, multi-asset Fund means investors can invest and potentially grow their capital while effortlessly generating a recurring donation to The Prince’s Trust, giving young people a brighter future. Please remember that the value of your investment can go down as well as up, and you may get back less than you invested.

What also makes this Fund unique is that donations through investments made by UK taxpayers will, for the first time, have the added benefit of Gift Aid. This equates to an additional 28p for every £1 that the Princes Trust receives from investors in the Fund.

Invest & Give Fund is operated by IFDS Managers Limited which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority and acts as Authorised Corporate Director.

Find out more about the Invest & Give including the background and the other fund management companies supporting the Fund by visiting www.investandgive.co.uk or calling 0844 931 1000.

How the Fund benefits The Prince’s Trust?
Donations to The Prince’s Trust are calculated as a percentage of your investment and are automatically made on your behalf. These donations equate to 0.6% of your investment per annum, included in the estimated annual cost of investment, 2.25%, which is in-line with the average TER for this type of investment fund*. Donations outside an ISA constitute a disposal for capital gains tax.

* Source: Fitzrovia, independent monitors of annual and other fund charges known as the total expense ratio (TER). The TER is the true cost of a fund because it includes both the annual management fee and any other charges levied to a fund.

Why is Aviva Investors a founding partner of Invest and Give?
John Clougherty, Managing Director, Aviva Investors UK Fund Services Limited comments:

“ From my very first conversation with Campbell Fleming about Invest & Give, I was interested in the whole philosophy and background to this groundbreaking initiative, and as a result Aviva Investors became one of first founding partner firms to confirm its support for this project.

Aviva has a long tradition of supporting youth charities in the UK, and over the last three years Aviva has committed in the region of £30m to a wide-ranging programme encouraging young people to be more active.

This is why when I heard about Invest & Give I knew by being involved in such a unique and transparent investment opportunity, that combines a high quality investment solution, with the attribute of gift aid, for the benefit of young people, is a perfect fit for Aviva Investors.

The combination of the City putting resources and effort behind an investment opportunity which is able to provide support to help give young, disadvantaged people of today a brighter future was something that resonated well with our brand proposition - “Your needs drive how we build you the right investment solution”. It was also an opportunity to show what the City could do for the community, and we at Aviva Investors could not miss out on that prospect.

It is hoped that if Invest and Give captures investors and the public’s interest then there could be opportunities to support other charities in the future.”
