Why and how should investors take environmental, social and corporate governance issues (ESG) in to consideration?

Date: 9 February 2010

Times: 09.00 to 12.30 followed by lunch

Location: 1 Poultry, London EC2R 8JR view map

Presenter: Mike Appleby and Iain Richards

There is a groundswell of opinion that pension scheme trustees and other institutional investors should be more activist in considering environmental, social and corporate governance issues (ESG) when making investment decisions. Indeed, since 2000 pension scheme trustees have been required to disclose the extent to which they take ESG considerations into account. This session considers the key ESG issues and looks at why they merit more consideration than they currently receive and how you can take ESG into account.

Benefits of attending this session: After attending this session you should more fully appreciate the importance and benefits of incorporating ESG issues into your investment decision making.
