(London): Aviva Investors has appointed Simon Blundell as a Senior Portfolio Manager in Credit. Simon, who is joining on 12 October 2009, will be part of the management team for active credit funds, initially managing a number of corporate bond portfolios. He will report to Mark Wauton, Head of Credit, Aviva Investors.

Simon joins Aviva Investors from Fortis Investments/ ABN Amro Asset Management where he had worked in a variety of roles, the most recent being Head of Investment Grade Credit. Simon has extensive management experience of both benchmarked and absolute return funds, having previously run various long/short, carry and mean reverting strategies alongside traditional long only portfolios.
