(London): Aviva Investors today announced the appointment of John Carmody to the new role of Global Strategy Director for Financial Institutions. In this role, John will work with sales teams globally to develop new and existing relationships with financial institutions clients and to facilitate cross-border business.

In particular, John will focus on partnering with financial institutions seeking an asset manager with an aligned global reach and the operational scale required to work across different regions and provide world-class capabilities and solutions.

John joins from BlackRock where he was most recently Director of Business Development, Institutional Wealth Management EMEA, responsible for the development of new and existing client segments in global markets. Prior to this he worked at UBS Global Asset Management as Executive Director, Co-Head of Middle Markets Institutional.

He is based in London and reports to Rob Watson, Global Product and Strategic Relations Director.
